Principals
Nick bogdan
Nick joined Waypoint Resources to develop management services for the continuously evolving health care market. Nick has over 27 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. For 15 years Nick was COO and Vice President of Finance for Howard County Health Services, Inc. (HCHSI). HCHSI was an affiliate of Howard County General Hospital until 1998 when both organizations became members of the Johns Hopkins Health System.
At HCHSI Nick was instrumental in the establishment and development of for-profit health care ventures including diagnostic CT, MRI, Sleep Services, Professional Emergency Room Services, Home Medical Equipment, Home Nursing and Home Infusion Therapy Services. During Nick’s tenure, HCHSI developed or acquired ownership in 16 health care ventures. For most of these ventures Nick was responsible for financial and operational management, including financial modeling for volume and reimbursement projections and sensitivity analysis.
Nick has extensive management experience in medical ventures. He was responsible for in-house patient billing, as well as billing contracted with outside providers. For each venture he managed, Nick developed a unique key indicator report to track volumes, reimbursement, receivable days outstanding and significant cost centers.
Prior to working with HCHSI, Nick worked for a national manufacturing company in Baltimore where he managed the work cost system, pricing models and the budget process.
Nick is a 1975 graduate of the University of Baltimore and a C.P.A. in Maryland.
