Principals

Frank Gunther

Frank Gunther is an accomplished business executive and entrepreneur. His experience in construction, manufacturing, real estate development and distribution is deep and varied. Frank has consistently been successful at growing revenue streams, improving cost efficiencies, driving process improvement and motivating people. In effect, he has been the catalyst to successful growth through internal consulting focused on the bottom line.

For 12 years, Frank was Vice President and General Manager of Jarvis Steel and Lumber Company, managing the three divisions and growing revenue by more than 80%. Along with P&L responsibilities, he managed sales and marketing, strategic planning, inventory and pricing controls, and customer relationships. His hands-on approach led to increased cash flow, better profitability and improved customer satisfaction and retention. Frank recruited talented employees and trained existing staff to focus on and achieve goals. He identified contract resources to support growth without building overhead, developing a flexible and motivated team whose members could manage through crisis situations as well as normal business operations.

Prior to Jarvis, Frank ran the sales and marketing effort for a regional window manufacturer which was emerging from Chapter 11. As Director of Sales and Marketing, he grew revenue over 90% by opening distribution and wholesale divisions, upgrading the sales staff, re-tooling the marketing program and recruiting and training independent sales reps in 9 states. This strategy resulted in product being sold in 10 states and 3 foreign countries and closing 10 major commercial and multi-tenant projects in just 3 years. Frank began his career with a large regional distributor of tools and hardware serving governmental, construction and manufacturing markets. Frank led two relocations and managed through a buyout, reorganizations and a Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Frank is a cum laude economics graduate of Villanova University. He serves on the boards of several non-profit institutions in the Baltimore/Washington region, focusing primarily on strategic planning and fundraising.
